Subglandular
The subfascial placement technique — Dr Andrew Cheah's preferred placement, offers the advantage of both subglandular and submuscular. It results in a more natural breast appearance, especially in cases where there's minimal breast tissue, and it may also reduce the risk of certain complications associated with subglandular placement, such as implant visibility or palpability.
Fat Transfer / Grafting
Fat transfer/grafting involves taking fats from other parts of your body and injecting it into your breast. The fats are grafted via liposuction from areas such as your tummy, hips, and thighs. However, only a small amount of fat can be grafted each time as fat cannot survive without a blood supply. Therefore, multiple sessions may be required for your breasts to reach your desired size.

2.5cm Short Incision Technique
Breast augmentation is one of our signature procedures at Artisan Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery. Dr Andrew employs the 2.5cm Short Incision Technique (SIT2.5) which allows incisions to be as small as 2.5cm - almost half the size of the current industry standard. Smaller incisions means less trauma, faster recovery & minimise scarring.
Hybrid Breast Augmentation
In certain cases, a combination of both methods may be used — the 'hybrid' breast augmentation. Dr Andrew Cheah will be happy to discuss if this procedure is suitable for you.
